I often worry about our modern lives disconnecting us from the land that nourishes us both physically and emotionally. As a child while traveling, I remember thinking about where dirt roads lead and often longed to stop and "wonder" up a little creek. The feeling of exploration and awe is a fragile and necessary to growth and joy. Oklahoma is the perfect theater for acting out my visual play. Our open prairies with its trees snuggled in the valleys and the sky to give it all scale open up before our eyes and asks us simply to enjoy.
